[Sam44]

Oliver screamed as he threw himself over his best friend, as the car flipped, coming to a rest, rightway up, bonnet crushed under a few steelpipes. Oliver's back is trapped between the bonnet and her, and he lays atop her, blood pouring from his cuts, as he is semi-awake. "S..S..Sister...I hurt" He mumbles, collapsing atop her, his spine broken with a sickining crack.

Kaede looked daze as she looked at her brother. He was bleeding and she wanted to wipe the blood away. But she was trapped. The whole left side of her body was trapped between bent metal and her right leg was angled strangely. She didn't feel pain but her head felt light. She blinked as her vision dimmed. She refocused her eyes on her brother's face. "Hang on... Someone... Will come for us..." She didn't know if that was true but it was the only thing she could think of saying.

I can't feel my legs" He whimpers, before collapsing atop her, going into an epiletic fit. Sirens are heard, and the screeching of tyres fills the air. After that, Ollie rembers nothing. Nothing at all.

Kaede drifted in and out of consciousness when the paramedics pulled both Oliver and her out of the twisted and crumpled metal that was once a car. She remembered seeing a handsome man's face. He said his name was John. And then she was laid onto a stretcher, her neck stabilized by something soft. She tried to ask where they had placed Oliver but she had difficulty speaking. She closed her eyes for a few seconds and drifted off.

A few minutes later, she opened her eyes again. They were moving and she could barely feel the hand that was holding hers. She tried to look around but the neck brace prevented it. "Ollie. Where's... my... brother?" John's face loomed into her line of vision again. His words were garbled in her ears as she was again drifting into darkness. One work stuck in her mind before she passed out. "Hospital."

Oliver comes around, but hardly. "S...Sister..I want sister" He groans, crying for her. He passes out again, and comes too in a white room. "W..Where...where is Kad?" He stammers, crying harder. He is oblvious to the lack of feeling below his waist, and the ivs in his arm. "Sissy?!"

[Kyrisse]

The ambulance that had Kaede in it arrived in the hospital a few minutes after the ambulance that carried Oliver. A doctor and several nurses came out as the stretched carrying her was wheeled out of the ambulance. Kaede opened her eyes groggily as the doctor checked her pulse and listened to her heart with his stethoscope. All this happened as her stretcher was wheeled into the hospital's Emergency Room.

A light shone into Kaede's eyes and several voices started speaking at the same time. "Do you know where you are?" "Extract blood, check her hemoglobin, hematocrit level. She lost a lot of blood." "Insert IV now..." Kaede felt dizzy. She closed her eyes and drifted off again.

Oliver still crys for her, scared. They work on him. Although he is paralzed, he lost little blood, and is now wide awake and crying loudyl

[Kyrisse]

The kindly doctor attending to Oliver spoke to reassure him. "Calm down, son. Your sister is being treated just as you are. I will personally check up on her a little later. Now, you focus on yourself for now."

[Sam44]

He does so, by sleeping all the time untill he can see her.

[Kyrisse]

It wasn't until hours later when Kaede woke up. She woke up dizzy and with a very sore throat. She tried to move but found that she was too weak and groggy to do so. The room was white and quiet. No one else was around. Several tubes were connected to her but her mind was too tired to make sense of it all.

"Ollie?" she asked in a hoarse voice to no one in particular.

[Sam44]

He yawns and awakens, looking around. "Sister...oh thank god, you are alive!" He sobs, looking at her. "A-Are you ok?!"

[Kyrisse]

Kaede looked at Oliver groggily. She raised up her left hand to wave at him. She was having a hard time speaking, with her sore throat. Her brows furrowed and she looked at her hand. She couldn't feel her fingers.

What she saw made her stare. Instead of a hand, she saw what remained of her arm. It had been amputated up to her elbow. The bandages were slightly red as the blood soaked through.

[Sam44]

He looks at her. "I-I am so sorry" He crys hard, "I-I didnt keep you safe!" He begins to panic, fearing she will hurt him, hate him, leave him.

[Kyrisse]

Kaede stared at the bandaged remains of her arm for a while. Her look was unbelieving then it changed to sadness and finally what looked like defeat. She gently laid it down on the bed at her side and then turned her head slowly towards Oliver. She managed to give him a small smile to calm him down. "It's okay... Oliver." She tried clearing her throat but winced as she had managed to make it hurt more than it already did. She tried speaking again. "It's not... your... fault."

[Sam44]

He watches her for a moment, mouths "Love you sis" and closes his eyes, drifiting to sleep. A nurse walks by, looks at them, and wheels his bed within distance for them to hold hands.

[Kyrisse]

Kaede smiled and reached out with her right hand and held Oliver's hand. Within seconds, she drifted off to sleep as well.

[Sam44]

He sleeps with her hand in his, not wanting to leave his big sister's side, after all, she is his carer, or at least, to him, she is.

[Kyrisse]

Kaede woke up once in a while but the groggines didn't seem to go away. In her lucid state, she saw several nurses check their vital statistics and inject medications in both of their IV lines. Once in a while, she could see Oliver awake but all she could really do was smile at him and then fall back asleep

He lays there, and trys to hug her to him, but is unable to

[Kyrisse]

It wasn't until the next day when Kaede finally woke up and stayed awake for long periods of time. She looked at Oliver and smiled weakly. "Sorry about that.... I guess I was so tired it took me a while to really wake up."

[Sam44]

"So long as you are ok" He smiles ans asks to be taken to the bathroom

[Kyrisse]

Kaede watched as the nurse assisted Oliver up. He seemed to be okay and she was glad that he was. Another nurse came in and smiled kindly at Kaede.

"How are you feeling today?"

"Like I've been ran over." she laughed weakly. "Has mom and dad visited yet."

"Yes, dear. They were here a few hours ago but you two were out cold so they decided not to wake you up."

"Oh."
